We recommend that you contact the Rotherham Low Vision Clinic if you have previously been assessed there, as they can provide magnifiers on loan free of charge.
Alternatively, magnifiers can be purchased locally at the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind on 0114 2722 757, or the Partially Sighted Society in Doncaster on 01302 965195.
The British Wireless for the Blind Fund exist to help and improve the daily lives of visual impaired people who are unable to afford specially adapted radio. They do this by providing the equipment on loan for free. For more information, please visit their website by following the link here.

Rothercare is a telephone-based system which you can use to summon help, call assistance, or give you reassurance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The main role of the Rothercare service is to obtain help for an elderly or disabled person when an emergency arises. Rothercare is connected to a control centre where there is always a control operator on duty to respond immediately. This operator is also supported by a mobile response service.
